Organizations cultural evolution: From closed and exclusive to open and inclusive.
Organizations are transforming to keep pace with rapid changes. Many successful efforts target organizational culture and embrace open business models for competitive edge. Yet, many organizations overlook the need of an open dialogue in fostering inclusive workplace. Open organizations enable greater agility through alignment on shared goals, faster innovation by equitably considering internal and external ideas, and increased engagement as members see connections between their work and organizational mission/vision. However, to truly reap these benefits, organizations must prioritize open dialogues across all levels to surface diverse perspectives, build trust and empathy, and ensure systems that perpetuate biases can be identified and disrupted.
